The Long Point Campground is a primitive campsite right next to the Elephant Butte Lake State Park, and is one of the park's most picturesque sites. Settle right on the lake's banks for quiet, simple camping, and be sure to take advantage of the lake and all there is to do like swimming, water skiing, fishing and canoeing. The area is also prime for exploring so go out for a long hike or bike ride, and return in time to watch a spectacular sunset over the lake surface. On that note, be sure to do some stargazing while you're at this park; with clear, open skies, the light show is spectacular!

The Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort is located in Sierra County, New Mexico and is famous for its acres and acres of untouched natural terrain and spectacular sights. Filled with biodiversity, the area is an oasis of culture, fauna and flora, and is just a mile from the Elephant Butte Lake State Park. Enjoy hiking, biking and a plethora of water sports popular during the summer time. Campers especially love the excellent fishing at the lake; catch walleye, blue fish, bluegill, crappie and trout. Visitors can also look forward to nearby art galleries, tours of ghost towns, gold panning, tennis, ATV trails, golfing and Indian petroglyphs. 

The Deer Spring RV Park is located along the breathtaking Rio Pensaco in the Sacramento mountains of southern New Mexico. Get ready for beautiful forestry, fresh air and plenty of space for hikes, horseback rides and picnics. The park is also near Cloudcroft with tons of excellent dining and shopping options. Visit the Mayhill Cafe, Burro Street Bakery of just explore the beautiful, wooded area around the park to possibly glimpse a deer or an elk.

The Arrey RV Park is central to Southern New Mexico, making it a great stop for visitors hoping to experience a range of New Mexico attractions. It's close to the White Sands National Park, the Sacramento Mountains, Caballo Reservoir, Indian ruins, the new space port, Truth or Consequences and much more. The Upper Karr Recreation Area is located in the Lincoln National Forest off the Sunspot Scenic Byway, and is one of the most picturesque campgrounds in the area. Others take advantage of nearby attractions such as the White Sands National Monument in the east, and the San Andres National Wildlife Refuge. Nestled in the Tularosa Basin, the Alamogordo White Sands KOA is in the perfect location for exploring the attractions of Southern New Mexico. With cabins, tent sites and RV sites, every type of camper is accommodated at this KOA, and with mild winters, this is a great spot to escape the harsh northern winter months. Tour the various nearby attractions like the New Mexico Museum of Space History, hike or disc-sled down the gypsum dunes at the White Sands National Monument or explore the ancient rock drawings at the Three Rivers Petroglyph site. Ask the friendly and helpful staff about local attractions, and you're sure to hear about day trip possibilities such as the Alameda Park Zoo and the beautiful pines of Cloudcroft a few hours from the campground.

Set against the breathtaking Sacramento Mountains, the Oliver Lee Memorial park features a historic ranch house, quiet camping in the Chihuahuan Desert, and the unique oasis of pools of water under the cottonwood trees of Dog Canyon. Visitors can look forward to a short walk on the Riparian Nature Trail or a challenging hike up the Dog Canyon Trail, as well as acres and acres of beautiful desert vistas. The Riverbend Hot Springs Resort sits on the banks of the beautiful Rio Grande and has a great view of Turtleback Mountain. The resort is popular because of its instituted zen hours and areas to ensure a serene and relaxing environment for visitors. Guests can soak in the therapeutic mineral pools, then enjoy a peaceful walk or hike along the scenic vistas and hills that surround the resort. The campus is also close to a slew of excellent art galleries, restaurants and museums. With a gorgeous rustic decor and breathtaking view of the river, this campsite is great for a "head for the hills," kind of vacation where you can easily take your mind off everything that weighs you down.

Named after people who search the land for precious stones, the area is known to have an abundance of agates and quartz crystals. Several hiking trails also provide spectacular views of the surrounding landscape, and an easy means of taking pictures and witnessing gorgeous New Mexico sunrises and sunsets. Bike trails are also available, as are several winter activities and a small nearby swimming beach.

81 Palms Senior RV Resort is a 55+ RV park located in Deming, New Mexico. Guests can stay for however long they need to take in some of the area's beautiful sights and attractions. Visit the Deming Luna Mimbres Museum and see sewing products and military gear steeped in history, or stop by the Luna Rossa and St. Clair Wineries. Rockhound State Park is also relatively nearby, so you can go searing for precious stones, or visit the Gila Cliff Dwelling National Monument. There's so much to see and do, campers will never get bored!

Immediately adjacent to the village of Cloudcroft is the Deerhead Campground. The area is beautiful, characterized by acres of rolling hills and untouched mountain ranges. Enjoy sight seeing, gorgeous New Mexico sunrises and sunsets, and natural trails that are great for hiking and biking excursions. Visitors can also look forward to the quaint village of Cloudcroft where they can enjoy excellent dining options and shops.

Sleepy Grass Campground is one of the busiest in the Lincoln National Forest, and is situated near the tiny village of Cloudcroft. Visitors enjoy the La Pasada Encantada Trail, an interpretative hiking trail that takes you around the beautiful hills and small valleys of the area. Wildlife viewing and picnicking are also popular past times at this campsite.

The Dream Catcher RV Park is located in Deming, New Mexico and is popular for the number of great sights and eats in the area. Visit City of Rocks, Rockhound and Pancho Villa for a tour through the history of the area, and be sure to dine at local treasures like the Lazy Lizard, the El Mirador Mexican restaurant and the Adobe Deli where the sandwiches are enormous! Also carve out some time to visit the National Guard Arsenal which is a pretty interesting place and is run completely by volunteers who are passionate about the area's history.

The Apache Campground is located in the Lincoln National Forest and offers campers 25 sites. At an almost 9,000 foot elevation, visitors can enjoy excellent, moderate weather and thick, thriving forestry. Bare bones camping is the most popular activity at this site, but campers also enjoy the spectacular mountain ranges at dawn and dusk where they can view amazing sky shows. Hiking and biking are also common at this site, as is picnicking.
