Warm and expeditious check-in upon arrival... and two bags of popcorn for the coach! Site was shaded by a well-trimmed-up tree over gravel with easy-reach hookups. The park is far enough off the freeway so we didn' hear most of the traffic. Youngest loved the little play set they had and DW and I enjoyed a quiet walk. Only complaint is one we discovered upon exiting. The speed bumps at the west exit are installed about 30 degrees to the roadway (instead of the usual 90 degrees). This angle caused one wheel at a time to cross the bump, setting up a major rocking motion even thought I was at a braked crawl. After enduring two of these speed bumps on the way out, a few turns later our refrigerator door popped open even though it had been locked pulling out of the site. I suspect the speed bumps caused the tabs to slip the lock, allowing a sharp turn to send the door flying open. Things went flying but nothing broken or damaged, so DW put everything back and we motored on. POORLY DESIGNED SPEED BUMPS for RVs... be careful. Otherwise, a pleasant night's stay.

Campground Response

Alan, Thank you for staying and thank you for the feedback. We have not heard that before but will absolutely look into what can be done to alleviate that issue. We look forward to seeing you again.

Mature trees shade many of the spots and are nice to sit under. The bathrooms are remarkably clean and there grounds are well maintained. A unexpectedly nice spot.

We stopped here for the night while en route to our next generation. The location isn’t particularly scenic or fancy, but the facilities were clean, and the all pull-through sites made this place a convenient pit stop. Despite the close proximity to the freeway, the park felt very quiet.

Stayed here as a stop over on our way to Oregon. We were met in the driveway, handed our receipt, map and discount card, then escorted to our site. Very professional and friendly! There were grassy places for our dog including a grass dog run. Sites are gravel, shady and clean. It's not a fancy place, but everything worked, it was easy in and out. They do charge $.25 per 3 minutes to use the showers which was strange to us but probably helps with abuse. Definitely would stay here again.

Steven Bye

Friendly staff & easy setup on our pull through site. Decent facilities for the night on our trip. On the lighting, it was a little too bright at night but not like floodlights.

John and Gayla Odle

Overnight stay. Quiet, peaceful, super friendly host lead us to our site with popcorn for us, quick check in, site was gravel and blacktop roads. Casino is fun and a short walk away or call the shuttle to pick you up. Easy access from I-5, We have a 45 foot motorhome and 50 amp space was plenty big for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Robert Khoo

Sorry I have to amend my review.....the internet didn’t work at all as we were given incorrect sign in credentials. Otherwise we loved our stay as it was a good walk to the casino for food.

Robert Khoo

Wonderful, very clean, great WiFi close to everything Dog friendly

Campground Response

Thank you Robert!!! come back soon

Never stayed. Canceled our reservation within days. They never refunded my money for almost 3 weeks. I had to write and ask for it. Then they kept $13 of it. Their site says cancel within 24 hrs. No mention of keeping your money. I canceled weeks before. What did they have to do for this reservation, since it was all on the computer. Not happy!

Campground Response

We sincerely apologize and will take care of the matter immediately. Trish

We stayed here one night on our trip back north. We were met upon arrival with bags of pop corn and then walked to our site. Had some cable tv problems that were fixed in minutes. The wifi was excellent. The bathrooms were spotless! Quiet. We would stay here again!

Campground Response

Thank you Peter. We appreciate your review and will look forward to your next visit. Trish, Rick and Stacey

Jim Mitchell

We stayed here one night as we worked our way back home from the south. They treated us like we were spending a month. Very accommodating and friendly. We definitely will stop in on our next trip through.

Campground Response

Thank you, Jim. We hope to see you soon. Safe Travels.

Michelle Murtey

Staff is so friendly, they even bring freshly popped popcorn around to the sites. We couldn’t have walked to Rain Rock, but there was a shuttle. We appreciated the little dog park so our pups could run a bit. We’ll be back!

Kristina DeShazo

Super friendly owners/hosts and nice wide and shady spots. Needed a stopover last minute and was able to get in no problem. Thanks!

Henry Byorum

Nice shady spot. Quiet and convenient to town and casino. Would recommend. Worth the price.

Jack Andrews

We stopped on Aug. 21 and gentleman that checked us in was very helpful ,while traveling from Southern California a few screws loosened up or came out, he found replacements and gave them to me! RV Park was nice also pull through sites very clean. Thanks

Don Leever

Pamela was very accommodating. She came out of the office to welcome us and had the paperwork done. The sites are fine and restrooms clean. This is a great stop for the night or a few days.

Mary Kay Benson

Loved the place. The hosts were wonderful and very hospitable. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Steve England

Staff was very friendly. They guide you to your space and are very helpful. Their showers are clean. They have an excellent green, fenced dog area. They bring you by popcorn and say hello. Their wifi is very good and they encourage you to use streaming video!

Jerry Quigley

this was on Good Sam trip map and this was our 4 night out for a 6 week trip not our first time on long trips but first time to stop here and pulled in and the staff was like glad you made it, after check in they walked us to our site and made sure every thing was ok before leaving us to set up and around 5 pm they came around with popcorn for us for a snack, very quite and clean thye working hard to make this a special place for anyone to stop in and stay one night or a month

Edward Roush

Quiet, restful. Nice bathrooms, pads level, very nice pet area. I would stay here again if traveling Highway 5. About 6 1/2 hrs RV drivng from Sacramento and to Salem, Or

Edward Mazurowski

This was our first visit to the park, very clean sites, utilities were in great shape. We were informed of area stores when we checked in and that popcorn is brought to your door in the late afternoon. Very friendly and helpful staff. We usually travel through this area yearly and will plan on stopping regularly. The new casino next door has a great restaurant, no buffet but great food.

Don Leever

We stopped for the night on our trip from Palm Springs to Kent, WA. The owner is very friendly and helpful offering dinner options and knowledge of the area. We will see them again in August. Great popcorn too.

Campground Response

Thank you Don. We will have the popcorn ready!!!

Judith Sprauer

Owner (Stacie) very nice and welcoming for our one night stay. Quiet park. Bathrooms with showers very nice and clean. Some traffic noise but not too bad. Because they obviously try to keep the place safe, I am going to relay this unfortunate experience. We sent an email to the park but didn't get a response. There were some people there passing through (not as guests, but people who wanted to bathe) asking for the code to get into the bathroom. We didn't give it to them but somebody did. My husband and I made sure one of us was always at our van because they were loitering. Well, during the night our gas tank was siphoned. Half a tank. If you stay here be sure you have a locking gas cap. Except for this it was nice and had this not happened we would have given more stars.

John V.

This was our first RV experience and the owners were great! They were friendly and always more than willing to assist in any way possible. The entire park (bathrooms, laundry facility, the new fenced in dog park, etc.) was kept very clean. You also won't find many parks with such mature trees at every site, which is perfect for those hot sunny summers, but also have a couple without for those who really want to set up their satellite dish. (Is your satellite dish really that important when you are camping?) After visiting other parks now, I took for granted how level their sites were and how reasonable the propane fill ups were too. I would definitely stay here again!

Campground Response

John, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We look forward to your next visit and hope to see you soon Safe Travels

Michael Riddell

Stopped for one night on way to Oregon nice park easy pull thru

Campground Response

Thank you, Michael. We will have the popcorn ready when you get here!!!

Great place to watch 92% eclipse! Large spaces for RV's, clean bathrooms, loads of hot water for showers, and absoutely charming and warm hosts, and the best and I mean best WiFi we have experienced in a campground ever (and we go to about 5-10 campgrounds a year).

Rod Garcia

We were on our way back to Nevada from the coast and needed a place along the way. We loved this park. Lots of shade - very clean - friendly!! We would def stay again.

Campground Response

Thank you Rod. We look forward to seeing you again.

Landon Beyler

Stopped on our way through for one night. Very nice and easy drive-thru sites. Thanks.

Campground Response

Dennis Williams

Very nice place, friendly and helpful staff and the other guests were very friendly. The park was clean and well organized. Restrooms, showers and laundry area was always clean and well maintained. We were invited to a BBQ on the 4th of July, but could not attend due to family obligations. We did have a great seat on the road boarding the park to watch the Fireworks put on by the city of Yreka. The only reason I gave a 4 star instead of 5 is the "Free WiFi". It is only free for 1 device for 45 minutes. Then it constantly interrupted what we were doing on our phones trying to get us to pay and sign in. Since we did not spend much time in the park it did not make sense to me to pay when we were going to be with our family and not be using the Park WiFi.

Campground Response

Dennis, Thank you for the great review. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. While we pride ourselves on great WIFI, It also comes with a host of issues for sure. The "45 minute time-out" issue has been removed. Hopefully, when we see you again, your Wifi experience will be much better. Safe Travels, Trish, Rick and Stacey

Justin Chester

I had a great time here. The campground is well organized, maintained and if you are lucky the management team brings popcorn to you! the Showers are great and finding a park with lots of trees and shade is a huge bonus this time of year.

Campground Response

Anne M Breedlove

We were just starting our 100 day trip to Alaska and back and just luckily planned our first stop at this lovely park. The owners were very friendly and was in the process of making popcorn for all the campers. The grounds were well kept with big mature trees. We had a nice shady spot. We were there two nights to rest after getting packed up for our long trip and we were well rested when we left

Campground Response

Thank you Anne. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Terry Gaither

For never staying at Waiiaka RV Park before, We were definitely pleased. Especially on short notice. RV park was clean and staff was friendly and more than helpful to answer any questions we had. We would definitely recommend this park and will stay here again if we are in the area. Also, park is close enough to freeway but far enough not to hear. Some of the best TV reception we have had in our travels. Thanks again.

Campground Response

Terry, Thank you for taking the time to let us know you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you again. Trish, Rick and Stacey

Paul Hott

We only spent one night here on our way south, but we were impressed with the park and the staff. Very friendly. The park is well maintained with easy access to I-5, but far enough away that it was not oo noisy. We would definitely recommend this place, and would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Campground Response

Thank you Paul for the great review, we are happy you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you again. Next time you come Check out our New Dog park that we hope to have finished By July. Thanks again Stacey

Evelyn Smith

When they say oasis of relaxing they are spot on! My family had a very lovely stay here and we can’t wait to get back. We were very welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff that we felt as if we were family. There were so many different sites to choose from which is nice to know as we don’t always camp the same way every time. The park was nicely maintained and they had a lot of amenities that made it very relaxing. I enjoyed the activities they had to offer as it was relaxing for all of us. The location was great as there was so many beautiful things to see. Well worth staying here. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
