If you like raw desert camping and soaking in the nude in a bath house with others of the same sex then Tacoma is a winner. I started visiting Tecopa in the 70’s and it is the same after 50 years, just maintained as is with two exceptions: the county built an overhead shade area at the bath entrance and a children’s play area. This is in Death Valley so be prepared for the wind, heat and cold. Nothing fancy about Tecopa. If you want simple this is it.

Campground Response

Thank You for visiting again and we are glad you enjoyed your soaking. I just wanted to clarify that the up keep and even the new awning were funded and built by local residents and volunteers from Tecopa Hot Springs Conservancy. The campground and pools are run by volunteers 24hrs a day and we get no county support since they were closed and reopened in 2014. Volunteers have now funded and or performed all new plumbing, pool repair, new electric, new camp sites, new roofs and all maintenance since October 2014. we love our springs and pride ourselves in being self sufficient. Please come again and support the Tecopa Hot Springs Conservancy. Thank You
