Take a short drive to the biggest ice cave in Idaho, known as the Shoshone Ice Caves. The Craters of the Moon is located just east of Shoshone. We are a short drive from the world renowned Sun Valley Resort. You can also experience Southern Idaho's Magic Valley as you walk on the new cantilevered overlook by the Perrine Bridge. Watch daredevil BASE jumpers, see Evel Knievel's jump site. Then make your way to the Manhattan Cafe, the oldest continuously ran restaurant in Southern Idaho.

Stayed 8/24-25. Friendly camp manager and much to see in area. But rundown, not well kept. Paid $10 fee to have a dog. Yet the camp host had a dog that ran loose often and two cats that roamed free.

Good afternoon, I would like to rent a space for my RV, could you tell me how much it costs and if there are any requirements?

Campground Response

Mario, Thank you for reaching out, however, reviews are not the spot for inquiries and therefore the response time is slower. You can find the answers to your questions and make a reservation on our website https://www.shoshonervpark.com/. Upon viewing the rental information we would appreciate if you would reconsider your 1 star review inquiry. Thank you

I booked a tent space overnight and was pleased with my stay. The host was very nice and accommodating, and the grounds were clean and quiet. The location is centrally located to Shoshone, the caves, and other places to explore.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review Jennefer. We appreciate you taking the time and are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to you stopping again in your travels.

This was definitely less of a campground and more of a live-in place. I am pretty sure we were the only campers there. The space was tiny, which was used a good portion of the time by the neighbor to work on a vehicle. In fact, when we had returned from exploring the town we found that they had moved our chairs that we had on our lawn area out of the way to make room for them to do so. Additionally there was a decent amount of dog waste on the lawn. Was not a great experience and we ended up leaving for home after one night instead of our entire booked stay. Manager was nice enough.

Campground Response

Brandy, Thank you for your review and feedback. We have put policies in place to resolve many of these issues and are continually working to make the space enjoyable for everyone and accommodating to our travelers. We hope your travels will bring you back our way and we will have the opportunity to show you the improvements.

Great RV park with lots of trees and shade. The owners are great and attentive to guests needs. The camp ground host, Kristi, is friendly, wonderful and always ready to help where needed. She keeps the park up and grass watered. This park is pet friendly and people friendly. If you need a place to rest for the night, a place to pitch a tent, park the RV, or need a longer stay to enjoy the areas many recreational activities, this is the place. Oh! And I forgot to mention it’s budget friendly! This is the base camp to all the area has to offer, from fishing and camping to exploring and hiking.

Campground Response

Thank you Cory for such a raving review. We appreciate your kind words and your business.
