Grass Sites (water/electric)

Our grassy sites are in demand during the summer months by the smaller RVs (these are shorter sites and will NOT accomodate Class A's or 5th Wheels). In order to keep our grassy sites looking good they require a lot of love. That means if your stay exceeds 3-4 days in a site, we may need to coordinate moving you to another site in order to perform routine maintenance (mowing/watering). Usually, our guests will use the free dump station and will relocate as to only move once. Either way, we do our best to work with our guests to coordinate if necessary. Thanks for understanding.

Hike to Goldbug Hot Springs or put your kayaks or floats over in the Salmon River across the street and float down to Dugout Dick’s!  Book a horse-back ride with a local outfitter and see the back-country.  Visit William's Lake or go Lime Creek Trail.  Walk across to the street to the Dusty Mule Bar and Grill and enjoy their burgers and hospitality!

Enjoyed our stay. Great host. Clean bathrooms. The best part was the great owners and atmosphere at the Dusty Mule Bar and Grill across the street.

Stuart was friendly, the sites were on grass with shade. The bathhouse was small but clean. We did not go to the grill across the street but our neighbors said it was good. Of course the Salmon river is gorgeous and we were 2 minutes from the wonderful Goldbug springs.

Nice RV spot for our quick overnight stay with water and one dump station available. Grassy camp site is cozy enough with but just one john and shower available. A little noisy at times with the occasional trucks on the neighboring highway but worth the stay.

This was a very pleasant, small RV park in a bend on the Salmon river. We stayed in the third week of September and it was not crowded. Facilities were clean and we appreciated the shady space with grass for our small trailer. Easy short drive to the Goldbug Hot Springs trailhead, maybe just a mile south along US 93. Other than the springs not a lot to do in the area, so this was just a one-night stay for us.

Quiet and serene. Very clean and spacious sites. Stuart is an excellent host and very helpful. Cellular coverage was great. The stars are so abundant at night! Highly recommend this RV park.

This is one of the best RV parks we have ever stayed in. This was our 4th or 5th year coming here we love it so much. Having the Dusty Mule across the road is a bonus too! Stu is doing a wonderful job running the park (and Arthur too!). The park is beautifully maintained and the spots are much larger than most places we stay at. We look forward to returning again next year.

We enjoyed our 4 days at Elk Bend very much. Our site was shady and included water and electricity. There was a central dump we could use. The owner is friendly and very helpful. Pay attention to the directions given on the site when you register! It is not in Salmon, but about 20 miles West in Elk Bend (which isn't even on some maps.)

Beautiful location for a small quiet park. The owner is very pleasant, friendly and helpful. When I requested an extension on my stay he promptly arranged it by moving some campers around before their arrival to accommodate. I would definitely would visit here again.

Elk Bend Rv Park was disappointing. We have 2 80 lb. Labs ... they advertise they had a dog park. We got there and found the dog park was nonexistent. There was a very tiny patch of grass that didn't allow our dogs to stretch their legs after traveling in a car far six hours. Had there been any other dogs on that patch of grass, it would've been impossible for them even to do their business. their site advertised a Dog area and I even called to make sure they had one available. The morning we left, we wanted to dispose of our trash as we've done at every other campsite we've been at but there were no trash cans to be found. we will not be using this campground again!

Campground Response

Very sorry for your misunderstanding. But, nowhere on my website does it say we have a "Dog Park". We do have a "Dog Area" that is 40' x 65'. Plenty of room for more than one dog to "do their business" as you put it. But Idaho law and my insurance mandates that all dogs be on a leash at all times while in my park. I also have 3 garbage cans along the frontage road. They are labeled on the map I gave you when you checked in. Again sorry for your confusion.

Very well kept and quiet. Washroom was clean and well maintained. Stu the owner and of course Arthur (his dog) were very friendly and informative of the local attractions.

We had the most incredible 3 days at Elk Bend RV Park. The sites were beautiful and the views of the mountains at sunset were breathtaking. We stayed in Elk Bend to hike up to Goldbug Hot Springs and even after 6 years on the road full time, it is one of the most epic places we have ever experienced. Thank you, Stu and King Arthur for making our stay perfect!

This campground is located near the Salmon river surrounded by mountains in one of the most amazing parts of the country. About a 20 mile drive south from Salmon idaho. The facilities are spotless and the owner seems to take great pride in this property. Not many places can offer a combination of tent and big rig sites with full hookups. This was our third visit and we look forward to visiting again.
