Great site! Quiet and secluded. Nice river access and close to town. We will return!

Quiet campground with super clean facilities. Our campground was the perfect size with picnic table and fire ring. Would definitely camp here again!

Very rural. No paved areas and just porta-potties. It was a bit dicey on a motorcycle pulling a trailer...but its quiet and the river is easy access.A fire pit & picnic table are at every spot( as far as I could tell) so that's really all you need to camp.Space 5 had a lot of privacy🙂

Great campground with friendly owner. The spot I was in had a lot of room and my group was able to pitch 2 big tents with plenty of room left over. There were also spots to pitch our 2 hammocks. Great river access with good fishing and swimming spots. There should be a sign visible from the road to easily mark the camground's entrance. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area again.

Kathaleen Melville

It was a nice campground but the portapotties needed attention as they were very full.

Nikki Alkharanda

The campground was beautiful, quiet, and just a short walk to the river. We would definitely stay again.

This is an adequate campsite, as described it is primitive. The river access is perfect, nice and cool in the summer. Some more regular maintenance of the water and the porta potties is needed. It advertises a convenience store but I could not see one anywhere on the site. The fish guiding rolls through the campground in the middle of the night which is unfortunate for those not fishing.

We had a fantastic stay. We had river access and our site had plenty of room for a 24 ft camper. (Site 21) we had river access and plenty of shade. Very convenient to where we wanted to be. If we get back out this way we will definitely stay again.

The camp ground is beautiful and the owner was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I even backed into a ditch and he pulled me out! 10/10 recommend!!!

Second time coming round to this campsite and the owner was lovely as ever and accommodating. Only thing I do have to say for improvement is that our campsite reservation didn’t include a site number so we did have to contact and bother to find that out prior to entering the camp.

Gwen David

Absolutely beautiful campgrounds! But VERY difficult to find. Need much better directions!

Pretty nice campground, well maintained. Kind of confusing finding the camp host since there is no sign indicatingwhere to find the host, so be warned if you are a showing up without a reservation; i highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time before showing up. The camp keeps potable water in the 'water wagon' which is nice. There are portopotties which are not dreadful. There is access to the river either through site 19 or behind the water wagon. There's a playground for the kids, nothing serious just reclaimed backyard play equipment. Every site has a fire ring and picnic table. There is noise from the highway but it dies out at night and you can hear the river at night. Camp host was kind enough to offer fishing advice. I will definitely consider coming back

This inexpensive no-frills campground has all the basics, and nothing more: tent and RV sites with picnic tables and fire pits, three porta potties that appeared to be well maintained, one dumpster, a really basic playground, and a station set-up with two tanks of potable water for the campers to use. A few things you should know: 1) Google Maps is not able to route you to the campground entrance. Use the coordinates provided in your email receipt. The driveway is easy to miss. 2) Keep the campground number handy. I got to what I thought was the camp and was unable to figure out how to check in. So I ended up calling the owner via the phone numbers listed on the small Forks Sol Duc Campground sign by where I had entered. Mitch then directed me to my spot over the phone, and I was able to set up camp. 3) There were no instructions on how to operate the two tanks full of potable water available to the residents. It would be more helpful if there was a sign on how to operate the water pumps. And by the time I had figured it out, the white tank was already out of water. I had lost patience with trying to figure out how to operate the blue tank. I texted the owner via the number he provided, and he was very responsive. Or they can at least include the water access instructions in the email receipt. 4) I don't think they have people cleaning up between campers. So you may end up dealing with the leave-behinds from the previous occupants. The previous campers left me alcohol and a small amount of lighter fluid that I never ended up using. 5) The camp sites are all very diverse, with some being more secluded than others. But most are pretty open. FYI you get a discount if you let them pick your site for you. If you are looking for an affordable, no-frills camping spot that will allow you to explore the rainforests and mountains of the western Olympic Peninsula, then this might be the place for you.

Our site was great, but our friends site was very muddy, need some gravel or something to help it drain and level out. Owner super nice and accommodating for water and propane fills.

Access to the Saugatuck river, clean campgrounds, portable water accessible, clean Porta potties, fire pits, picnic tables, playground for kids, pet friendly, overall this was a great experience for our family will definitely come back again! The owner of the property was extremely welcoming and made sure that we were comfortable at our campsite.

Elizabeth Guss

The owner was super helpful. Sportsman's dream camp ground! Very clean and the spots were quite level for our 30 foot RV. The bathrooms were also clean and changed regularly. Very close to town but still the boondocking feel.

amanda harrington

The site were not even close to fitting the size rv they said in the description very frustrating. The site operator very nice but even in the spots were they said was good for rvs was like an afterthought basic and not even close to description. They did not offer money back for the day we couldn’t stay because of lack of accommodation But if you don’t have a big rv then campsite was beautiful spot and trials and hot springs was amazing. No service any close to this site or Wi-Fi not a bad note just heads up. If description was more honest would of been better

Campground Response

I believe you intended on posting this on the olympic national parks review this is not our campground we are not near the hot springs

Great place, perfect spot for the sporting sort. This will be my go to in the future.

Good location, super close to forks. Our site was magical, next to Sol Duc River, and pretty private as the vegetation is quite thick between sites. Super friendly hosts, and they respond quickly on FB. Keep in mind the sites are primitive, but if that's what you're looking for it is the perfect place to stay.

Chris Woolery

Nicely prepared camp site and the trees made it very private; we couldn't see our neighbors 30 feet away on either side. Quiet area. Did not realize that there was no running water but Port-o-lets and tanked water were clean and available.
