We arrived on 23 Oct and stayed until 1Nov. It’s a quiet, nice campground. Some of the nicest people live there. It’s a over 55 and no children. Not a lot to do there but you don’t have to drive far to find things to do. We enjoyed staying there. If you’re looking for a overnight or a week stay this is the place.

Campground Response

Rusty, Thank you so much for your review. We really appreciate it. Hope to see you soon. Cheryl

I elected to take the 'no change' 'no cancel' discount and yet my reservation site number was changed without my approval. I sent an email requesting more information and never received a reply. I did drive through the park and was not happy with the new assigned lot. So I did not stay.

Campground Response

Jane, Sorry about your change, but even with the no change, no cancel discount, we have to swap people because our policy is longer stays have precedent. So, if you were only staying a day or two, we would have had to move you in order to have room for someone that's staying several months. As for your email, I didn't see it. It is possible it got lost in outer space or went somewhere else. It is in our policy that in the end, we do reserve the right to move your site. Also, we still honored your discount. Unfortunately, you became a no show and ended up being charged the cancellation fee for a no show. I wish you had stopped and talked with us before just leaving. I might have been able to work something else out for you as I do try to make the customers happy. Cheryl Cheryl

Poor water quality - if you have any water at all. Self-appointed, mentally disturbed, managers/hosts will surprise you with hypocritical idiocy and profanity are control freak nosy to see what you are doing by peeping in your windows at night or day with their binoculars which results in degrading gossip and rumors to anyone who will listen. This over-rated slum-like campground is described as "rustic" which in reality translates into severely inadequate water quality, availability, lack of effective grounds maintenance, upkeep and absence of common sense ownership whom the managers claim is a drunkard.

Campground Response

Whoa!!! I've been here 5 years and I've never seen any of this, nor know what you're talking about. I've never known anyone that fits any of your descriptions. I wonder if you really stayed here as this review doesn't fit anything and is all based on hearsay.

We paid in full for a 2 night stay. We had a change in plans and cancelled by phone at least 60 days in advance. We got no refund. Don’t reserve here unless your plans are firm.

Campground Response

Alan, when was this? Did you call or email us about this? As we always give a refund unless it was after the new owners took over in July 2022. There is a cancellation fee for anything over 14 days in advance of your stay. If you stayed after this date, give us a call or email us and I'll look into it for you. If it was before July 21, 2022, there's nothing I can do other than possibly giving you credit toward a future stay. But that's up to the new owners discretion.

All I can say is it was OK. We only stayed one night on our way to Florida from Wisconsin. I understand the owners just bought the campground so maybe there will some improvements.

Campground Response

I wish you'd stayed longer. I believe you would have gotten a better sense of community and the friendliness of everyone here. As for improvements, yes, there has been some.

This is a very adorable campground that my family had a really nice stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful for everything we needed. The park itself was nicely maintained and very rustic in design yet had very modern conveniences. There were a lot of great amenities that took care of all of our needs and they had so many fun activities that my family found very relaxing. They had all kinds of sites to choose from for all kinds of camping styles. The location was gorgeous as there were so many beautiful sights to see just by walking or driving around. There were also a lot of great places to eat that was only a short drive away. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
