I would give 5 stars, but I think the management needs to keep up on keeping the restrooms/shower rooms cleaner. When i went in to take a shower there were two shampoo bottles along with yucky razor on the shower floor. Laundry area ok but the doors inside and out leading to outside were really dirty. Loved the views, nice spacious lots. Didn’t try the onsite food truck but it is nice to have.

We enjoyed our one day stay. Cristi(spelling?) is a very nice coowner, very helpfull. Nothing but raw country all around. Beautiful sunset. Didn't get a chance to eat at the "Grub" chow wagon but looks like a tasty menu. I think people would find it to be a nice experience.

This place is a quiet break from the everyday crazy. They have 3 bath houses and a laundry. Other than a dog that would bark at us every time we would exit our trailer it was great. There was also a ton of flies that would hang around our trailer and they would get into our trailer every time we opened the door. The owner/operator was quick to answer all questions we had, and it has been great to see all of the updates that have been made to the site over the years. Very cute! We will be back again.

Cute place! Quiet and clean. Never saw a single employee. Self check in was smooth and fine with us. Never used the facilities. Would DEFINITELY return!

Easy self-checkin, clean area with big level sites, good water pressure. Quiet. Little food "truck" open 4-7 pm serving hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. that we didn't try.

Nice place to stay if you are traveling through. Flat, gravel spacious sure. Utilities worked well, great internet. Easy in and out, affordable and quiet. Will stay again. Didn’t use bath house or laundry. Looks like they have a food truck but not sure of operation in the off season. Stayed in October 2023 in a motorhome.

No one was at the desk when we arrived, except children. When we got to our site, I had to dig the grass away from the sewer pipe, no cap, and pipe was broken, went back to the office to request to move, children still there, didnt want to go get parents. Finally a young man on a motorcycle came and ask if I needed something, he went and got his dad. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but this place literally seem to be in a cow pasture. We left a day early.

Sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay with us we must have been busy when you got there and the kids just love to go and try and help out at the office. We just took over this camp ground last year 2023 and have been busy doing many updates to the place from what it was when we bought it. So u hope you give us another try next time your on your way through

It looked way better than last year. It was neatly mowed. The office doesnt seem to be manned so you can check yourself in so cash or check. We made our reservation and paid thru roverpass with specific site numbers. The spots were empty but they were not marked reserved. The park was almost totally empty as it's more of an overnight stop than a destination spot. Two really good restaurants in town and an A&W at the gas station. Overall it was a good quiet spot to spend the night and eat.

Just passing through, but this was a nice spot. Far enough off the freeway to be quite, nice trees and a friendly cat. We'll be back next time we pass through.

I travel alot for work (professional dog trainer) and usually stay at state parks. Pups and I took a chance on The Hitching Post as a layover and wow, glad we did! Lovely and quiet, despite being right off the highway. Huge field for pups to run. My spot was level with a gorgeous shade tree. Laundry was cheap and easy to do and the hostesses were incredibly responsive and kind when I asked a couple of questions. I would give 6 stars if I could!
