Great place to stay if you like quiet and dark. Off the highway far enough that their is no road noise. We were in a new area with no trees but this is Texas. Can recommend Alfredo's in Lampasas.

Little Lucy RV Resort was very convenient for us in our travels. Spot was large and easy to get into. The area around the dumpsters was very muddy, due to rain over the week, but they brought in rock on our last day to solve the problem.

Only in spot 2 for one night but it was very enjoyable. Very clean and well thought out. Wondering how the dust might be at times though. Dog park would be nice to add. We will definitely return there in hopefully same spot!

Campground Response

Hey Mark, so glad y’all enjoyed your stay! Thank you for the kind words. We actually have two dog parks here. I’m sorry you didn’t get to check them out. You’re right about the dust. It can be bad in the dry season, but we have begun the process of topping the roads with crushed granite, which is cutting the dust out almost entirely. Looking forward to having y’all back at Little Lucy!

Tje location is gorgeous, quiet, and ournsite was right on the water. We had singing frogs and countless stars every night, and quiet mornings in the semi-wilderness. Beautiful. The only reason we didn't put 5 stars, is that it seems the bath houses arent cleaned and stocked as often as they need to be (at least spot checked!) for the number of people in the park.

Enjoy my stay nice and quiet except for the nature that I want to hear and see. Does need a few more tree, but saw some planted maybe by the time I go back they will grow.

The pictures of water near the best spots was a dry creek bed, the fish from your back door, no water so no fishing fr this more expensive spot. The 39 amp breaker burnt out the first night. I left a message and in 20 min a very nice young man appeared and felt the hot panel. “Yep it burned out.” I had a 30 to 50 amp transition cord and had our motorhome backup and and running. The young man said I am an electrician, I will fix it but what you have hooked up was what I brought to offer you. The 30 amp was not fixed as I unhooked our motorhome 2 days later. The town had a festival , great German food and people were very nice. We checked on the Colorado Park 34 miles away and it was not allowing boats, kayaks only and no swimming due to low water levels. We never found the office staffed, a note said call and we will meet you by appointment, the spot was a luxury space and was nice except no trees or shade, dry creek, crushed lime stone roads caused a bit of dust as people drive by. I Washed our motorhome getting at home to remove the limestone dust, with water it turns to glue. The crushed line stone was small and stuck in tire treads, so for 30 miles we heard small rocks fling off the tires and hitting our tire wells and under carriage. We wish the advertising was worded to reflect current conditions and pictures reflected current conditions. We could not fish, kayak or well you get the real picture if current conditions. Many long term renters were tucked into shade tree areas and if you needed a place to live long term this might be a good spot and the staff were responsive when you called.

We have traveled around the country and stayed in hundreds of RV parks in 41 states and I have never experienced more personalized attention and service than at Little Lucy. Trent went above and beyond multiple times to accommodate us during a busy weekend to ensure we had a spot to stay, calling other guests to confirm departures and arrivals so the timing worked out for us. He was a pleasure to interact with and you can tell he takes great pride in the park: it's a beautiful, perfectly manicured park just minutes from Lampasas... I would highly recommend.

Very nice park quiet, clean, just what you want in a weekend getaway. This is our third time to come hide from the world and take a break. Very nice! My only critique is that if you want a specific spot that is available you have to pay $5 extra. In 25 years of staying at rv parks this is a first for me.

Campground Response

Hi Paul, thanks for the feedback. The $5 site lock feature came by default with our new reservation program (Roverpass). But I agree with you completely about that. I’m going to speak with a technician and see if this is an optional feature that can be disabled. Thank you for staying with us, and we hope to see you again soon! Trent LLRV

Great campground overall. Cell service for Verizon is not very good in the area, AT&T gets good service. The campground is clean and quiet and will definitely be back again.

Good overnight spot however they really need signs to mark how to go in and out of the park. It’s pretty much a guessing game. It is easy to get in and out if you know how. Other than that, it’s a nice place to stop for the night.

We stayed a week at this wonderful campground. The customer service was outstanding. Management made the reservation and check-in process incredibly smooth. They communicated by text the day of arrival making sure we knew are site number and gate code. The park is an equal mix of seasonal, full time and vacationers. The sites are well spaced apart, large and level. There is a nice creek with large trees that run through the middle of the park. The park is continuing to expand and improve. There is not any WIFI or cable but there is a nice selection of over the air tv channels. The park is just a few minutes from town which has all the shopping amenities. We had a great experience and will definitely stay there again .
