Lazy L Lake Campground

Overall Rating: 4.0

Luis Laborde

If you're looking for a beautiful campground look no further. This is by far the best campground we've stayed in years. Spacious, great people, nice view of a beautiful lake.

Campground Response

Thank you Luis. You guys have safe travels and hope to see you guys back.

Ryan Tharp

Very clean, the staff is really friendly, and the lake makes a nice setting

Campground Response

Ryan thank you for the kind review.

Joni Cogbill

Lazy L Lake Campground did indeed have a beautiful Lake, with graceful geese landing during a beautiful morning walk; however, though there were many spots available, they were heavily graveled and unlevel, the playground was minimal, there was no dog park, and the campground overall was dirty and unkempt. The attendant did come outside to meet us and took us to our spot-which is why we gave 2 stars. There was constant gravel noise from vehicles around camp, and a nearby train was also loud intermittently throughout the night. Frog bayou behind our spot also provided mosquitoes-the toad’s serenade was lovely at dusk.

Campground Response

Sorry you are unhappy with the campground. Yes do have new gravel (which does take time to settle in), electrical, and water. We are pet friendly but it is not advertised as having a dog park. Our playground does provide a few swings and a slide but we also have a beach with a roped off swim area, fishing, and a small section of trails to walk, bike, or enjoy a ride with with parents on their golf cart. Many people also enjoy boating on our lake. May you please explain your meaning on a dirty and unkept park. The park restrooms are checked multiple times a day along with the entire property for cleanliness. Mosquitoes are a common thing this time of the year in Indiana. Have a blessed day and safe travels on your camping trips.

Carol Smith

There were no picnic tables at the site there were no fire pits or grills so if you go there you better have an RV travel trailer not good for pop-up campers.

Campground Response

I am sorry you fell that way. We have had several return pop up campers and tent campers that have enjoyed their experience here and returned several times this year. We did just purchase Campground and have done many improvements with new electrical, water, graveling the campground, and many more things. I do appreciate your review and it will be something we will look into.

Angie was very friendly and informative when we checked in. She accomadated our request to park in a quiet spot not too close to other campers because of our barking dogs. The facility was well kept and the beach area was well groomed. We will definitely stay again.

Thank you
