Spacious sites in a wooded area. Great privacy arrangement in showers. Nice to have a bar and restaurant on site. It is 10 or 15 minutes off the highway, but there is no traffic noise.

Really nice place tucked back away. Just a little dusty. We saw lots of wild deer while we were there. 30 minutes to Mesa Verde NP.

Campground Response

Thanks for the review Rick. Come see us again when we get our water wagon fixed.

Great facility and location. Beautiful grounds. We were unable to use much of the facility due to not being present at the site most the time we were there but to sleep. Tom was a great help to meet us late as we were delayed on arrival .

Campground Response

Thanks for the great review Christine, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Tom

This would’ve been a five star review. Everything was exceptional staff, grounds, scenery, site prep, everything you would want except. The power supply was inadequate to run the amount of RVs during the hottest time of day. The voltage drop below 104 and we were not able to run our AC unit. We had on boarded generation so that got us through the heat of the day.

Campground Response

Sorry to hear you were having problems with your RV's electrical. Had you let us know we could have looked at it for you. Tom

The perfect campground! Spacious sites, plenty of shade from the pines. Immaculately clean and beautiful grounds. Lots of physical spaces for reunions and get togethers. One of the nicest rv resorts we have ever stayed at.

Campground Response

Thanks for the perfect review Amy. We hope you come see us again soon.

We really enjoyed our stay. Campground is clean and very well kept up. The area is really gorgeous and the sites are fairly well spaced out. We would stay at Echo Basin again for sure.

What a beautiful park! We arrived mid-October in the midst of snow flurries. We were shocked but I guess we should not have been, after all we were at 7 thousand plus feet up in the mountains. My husband and I are from Florida so we are not use to cold weather. The proprietor Mr. Carr was a delight. He seemed amused at our being amazed and slightly concerned. He assured us we would be fine and that the snow would be gone the next day. He was right. We will definitely return, maybe in the summer!

Very friendly place. Mostly quiet during quiet hours as well through out the day. We had friendly neighbors and wasn't too crowded being Memorial day weekend. Off the main highway which was a plus and stars galore. Smoked ribs were good and so was the pizza. I would definitely book again. Staff ran a professional rv park. Beautiful and clean environment too. Nothing really to complain about. We were escorted to our spot as well as delivered our firewood.

Campground Response

Thanks for the review Richard, we are glad you appreciate the effort our staffs gives to make our park a place you want to come back to. Tom

My wife and I stayed at the park for several days in early April. It should be noted that they begin charging full summer rates on April 1. Despite this we were told that the restaurant/ bar and pool would not be open till May. We were okay with that. On arrival we were placed in a site that had just been vacated by a long term RV. The site was wet enough (presumably from the winter thaw) that our RV sank into the mud several inches causing it to be quite unlevel. It was late enough in the day that we weren't able to address this issue till the following day. At that point we asked to move to a different site and were told there were none available even though we noted several empty sites in the park. Instead we had to hook up our trailer and pull it out of the site while more gravel was brought in and the site was leveled. Even after that was done when we backed the trailer back into the site it still sank into the soft soil an inch or so. We just decided at that point to accept that we would would be a bit unlevel. Over the course of the next few days it became obvious that all of the gorgeous, lush green images that are shown on their web site are simply artificial grassed areas toward the front of the park. Farther back in the park where the RV sites are located all of the roads are very dusty dirt roads and the sites are rather thinly graveled. After being there for several days we decided we needed to do some laundry only to find that the laundry room and showers would not be open till May! This fact was never mentioned during booking of the reservation and was certainly not on the web site. When I complained to management about this his response was "I'll change that on the web site right now". .... And he did! I then asked why "summer" rates were being charged when absolutely none of the "summer amenities" were available to campers and the reply was simply a shrug of the shoulders and the comment "we go to summer rates on April 1". .... A lot of good that does me at this point! So no, I absolutely can not recommend this RV park! Our stay there was very disappointing

Campground Response

Bill, We appreciate the time you have taken to review our park. That said, we disagree with most every assertion you have made. To begin, you were NOT charged the full summer rate. It is still winter in Colorado so yes the site do retain moisture from snow. you could have been moved to a different site but you did not ask. As it is winter, the lush green lawns you see in the pictures are not lush and green yet as it is still down to freezing at night. To that point the bath house and laundry are not opened until May because it is freezing at night and the water lines in the building do freeze. Everyone that books is told that when booking and as your wife Laura is the one that booked maybe she didn't point that out to you. The one assertion that is right is that we did change the verbiage on the website for those that don't catch it during the booking. What you did get wrong is the assertion that management shrugged their shoulders an response. Again, you did NOT pay full summer rate. We take great pride in accommodating every single guest and making sure they have a great stay. We are sorry you feel differently. Feel free to contact me personally if you would like to discuss further. Tom

THE BEST RV Park/Resort that we have stayed at! Beautiful trees! Awesome views! Family owned resort, and the owners are so nice and ready to help with whatever need one might have. CLEAN laundry facilities! We came for 4 nights, ended up staying for 2 and a half weeks! Can’t wait to come back! We plan on staying at least a month next time. So much to see and do in this area.

I stayed with my family over the 4th of July weekend and we enjoyed it immensely. Everyone was very friendly, and the pictures on the website don't do the place justice, it is nice in the pictures, but much better in person. The cabins are very cozy, and the beds are very comfortable. I just wish we had more time to stay.

Campground Response

Thanks for the kind words and great review Jesse. We appreciate the time and effort it takes to let people know you enjoyed your stay. Tom

Great place. The staff was very nice at the office, and the office had a few things for purchase if you forgot something, and they have ice. There are electric, water and sewer in the campsites, and the grounds have a common park-like space in the middle for everyone to use. It was quiet and clean and close to Mesa Verde. The large trees provide plenty of shade. I slept outside under the stars both nights, it was wonderful.

Campground Response

Thanks for the great review of our Great place Stephen. We are glad you enjoyed it and hope to see you again soon. Tom

The people were friendly enough but the cabins though clean are a Little tired. . Shower didn’t drain very well. We met up with a friend with a camper and the rev spaces are tight. Not quite sure about the “resort” part but they accepted dogs in the cabins and that was a plus.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review Marylee. Sorry you had an issue with the shower drain. It had not been brought to my attention during your stay. Unfortunately some guests in our pet friendly cabins do wash pet hair down the drains. On the other note, we do have some of the largest RV sites in Colorado and the Southwest. You have to book early for the best sites. Tom
