Nice folks running the park, Clean and quiet out-of-way area (not near highway).

Other than mowing, the park lacks good maintenance and upkeeping. The gravel pads were completely covered in grass. The picnic table was rotting and splintered.

The park is shabby, appears to need a large dose of TLC.

Three stars because the folks we met were nice and the old and well used bathroom was kept very clean. Otherwise it's a two star park. Stopped here to visit Mt Capulin Volcano National Monument and to break up our drive. Discovered a surprisingly great grocery store in town, the Clayton Ranch Market. Definitely a food oasis. Mostly long term residents at the park. Some really 'moved in'. Good for an overnight between destinations. Level enough sites. Hook ups are old and could use either repair or update. Could not find a wifi signal. What bothered me most was the trash around the sites. Cigarette butts (lots), band-aids, q-tips, flossing picks and just a lot of broken bits of trash ground into dirt. It looks like owners may be working on bringing the main building up to snuff but the individual sites are not a pleasant place to relax. We paid for three nights and stayed two.

Uncut grass, trash, bathrooms in serious need of maintenance, and animal dung 💩 in abundance. No one was ever present in the office.

Easy access, quiet park. Older park but in good condition.

Space not level. Rear tires off the ground when I automatic level. No cable and no local tv. Little or no signs to park on main road

Upkeep of grounds very poor. We could not get our water connection to work so had to connect next space over. When we plugged in surge protector something happened to it so now have to buy a new one. Was hard to find hook ups because of weeds. Thankfully only there for 1 night. Bathrooms were clean.

The campsite was Very poorly maintained except for the office. Lacks care and attention. Our picnic bench was very rotten with one of the Bench seats was missing. The grass on our lot needed mowing.

A good overnight stop. There is a Valero convenience store on the south end of Clayton that has RV islands with gasoline & diesel.

Cabin stay in 103 degree heat! Checkin consisted of locating your name on a board and which cabin you were in. No instructions on where to park truck and trailer. The cabin itself wasn't bad and was as described however the a/c couldn't keep up with the heat and the fan was blowing backwards pulling air up instead of down. The switch to change the direction was missing. We called but they said there was nothing they could do. The inside temperature was reading 89 degrees and the wood walls were hot to the touch. We actually had to sleep some where else and lost the cost of that night. The RV spots were as described.

Really nice pull through spots for over night stay. Walking distance to a great little restaurant too. We will definitely stay again on our trip back home from Colorado.

If you like the overwhelming cat smell hitting your nostrils as you enter a building, this place is for you. Along with the stinch, the place is run down. There is broken old wood picnic tables, crushed cars on a flatbed trailer, broken row signs, no grass (dirt), no cable, sites are close together with old trailers that appear to be abandoned. We never saw anyone doing any work on the grounds to make it look better. In fact there was a torn barstool sitting at the end of a site. Who knows how long that will be there. The town has nothing in it. The Wi-Fi was somewhat ok. Being all that was just written, I highly recommend forgetting this place. We experienced people driving around with their lights off at 2 AM, thus we didn’t feel real safe. Boon-docking would be better in my opinion.

I paid for a spot with full hooks up far in advance of my arrival and then I was placed in a spot without full hook ups. We arrived and I asked if we had full hook ups and the answer was no. I asked if there was dumop station and was told that I could try but that it might be full. At that moment, I had forgotten that full hook ups is what we paid for and after we set up camp, we saw there were plenty of empty spaces with full hook ups. Bottom line is it seems poorly managed and communication was bad

Very accommodating to the needs of their guests! We had such a relaxing time while we were there.

I gave it 2 stars because it was not a comfortable place. A little run down and when we arrived, there was a note to call a number for check in, but no answer. I stopped a man walking out of the "employees only " door. He reaked of tobacco and his teeth were disintegrating. Said he didn't work there. But was able to locate our spot. The water hook up didn't work. It was cheap though.
