Very nice, clean, quite. Everything you need

Willard Updyke

First impression of this park is not good. Poor maintenance with tall grass and sad looking sites. The office was closed for the whole week we were there. One of the washing machines did not spin the water out of the clothes so had to spend another $2 to run them in another machine. No one around to complain to. Looks like the other residents are long term like workers. Only 6 sites occupied besides us. It is certainly isolated if you want to be alone. Utilities were good.

Morgan Welch

nobody there to answer questions, no reply from text or email and bathroom codes did not work.

George Stokes

Was noisy on our first night, was up front by the road and the game business next door, requisitioned a move. Moved to the back of the park and it was fine there.

Philip Fulmer

Nothing to rave about. The men’s bathroom could use a good cleaning. It was below than normal temps, so no water. Pipes frozen. Wide open RV park. Easy to get in and out. They do offer a military discount.

Bayou Oaks is a nice, simple little campground. It's clean, it's mowed, the RV sites are level and the water, electricity, and sewer all work fine. The showers and bathrooms are nice. It's a steal for the price.

Park needs some attention. Easy location off the freeway but they advertise wifi that only worked for maybe an hour. No one at the office and they do not answer phone calls strictly text messages, and not very timely either. I'd send a text and would only get a reply by text if I called and left a message. Go somewhere else. Overpriced at $60/night.

Campground Response

Mrs. Kinsey, We here at Bayou Oaks RV Park pride ourselves in being one of the only RV parks around with highspeed Wi-Fi that is fully functional for older and newer RV's (hence you seeing us outside resetting all the routers in the dark.) Your reservation was booked and paid at 3:40pm and you notified us by text message that you were in your site and hooked up at 3:42. With that information, I assumed that you rather text than speak on the phone after I attempted address your concerns with a call back after 8pm. The internet was updating (just as your cellphone updates security and other updates are not timed or scheduled. May I remind the fact to you paying after you hooked up and leaving later than checkout was a accommodation to your inconvenience's while staying with us on your travels. We wish you well and apologize again. -mgmt

Quiet park Stayed two nights as we were traveling Looked to be mostly long term campers. Very empty as it was late October

Believe me when I say that I priced, visited and researched every RV Community and Bayou Oaks came out on top with flying colors. The location is perfect just off of the interstate. Hop on any number of roads to reach casinos, shopping, fast food and more within minutes. Yet the community is nestled amongst the trees which gives it a more secluded feeling. My pup loves the dog park and the friends he has made here. Oh and the bathhouse….the nicest and cleanest that I have seen (and that’s including the numerous casino Rv parks I’ve visited). Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I can’t express enough how safe, secure and at home I feel here. I’m so blessed to have found Bayou Oaks!

Campground Response

Thank you Rashida! We love your kind words and thank you for choosing Bayou Oaks Rv Park in Lake Charles.

Aaron LARA

Very clean, cute and quiet. Big spaces. I really didn’t want to rate the RV park to keep this gem a secret for my future visits :))). We will be back!

Jonathan Harris

Campground Response

Thank you Cord! We enjoy having you as a neighbor here!

Reginald Ford

We had the whole labor day weekend booked at this campground. When we arrived it was scary! Grass was not cut and trashy campers parked in campground with sketchy people spray painting their car in campground. We made a u turn and drove away as fast as possible

Campground Response

Hi Reginald! We apologize that we didn't get a chance to meet you! It rained for weeks up until this past week being by the Bayou with over 8inches of rain and Mud wasn't fun! We really hope that you understand and that the rest of your trip went well! We all work really hard to keep a positive mind these days and we will take note to your opinion. Stay safe!

Mark Mittelstaedt

"Desolate" best describes this place. "Sketch" was the word used by the only other overnighter here. A few of the spaces were in decent shape, most of the rest were just gravel and broken up concrete pads. 2/3 of the trailers here appear to be abandoned or occupied by full time residents. There was no staff on the property at all when we got there at 3pm. The best I can say is it was fairly quiet (as far as I could tell, we had both roof a/c running) and the electricity worked. I would have given 4 stars if it was only $20 to stay here.

Campground Response

Hello Mark! We do very much value opinions and even constructive critisim when it is helping us find a better way too make changes from our guests point of view! Although that would only be the case if the review was an absolute fact. We replaced the whole park with brand new gravel and concerte slabs for the patio areas 4 months ago. As for long term or abandoned most of our sites are company owned for construction or rebuilding jobs we do not have long term residents. The rv spaces are paid by a company for different crews to come and work to help us rebuild our community after the 3 hurricanes, a flood and winter snow storm it our city in 2020 to end of 2021. We apologize that you misinturpretted our few empty rvs that are obviously to new for them to look abandoned. Sir most of then empty rvs were still gone visiting family for fathers day wen you arrived on the 20th of June for 2 nights. We we could not control we worked really hard to be up and running this summer. I also want to acknowledge the no staff on property which is highly inacurate because I personally sent your invoice when your wife and yourself contacted me.We have 24/7 onsite management which is myself, maintenance and security. I hope this helps your reevaluate your conclusions of our park and wish you would of came straight to us so this could of been resolved for you during your visit. No hard feelings! We understand & thank you for staying! We really hope you will stay with us again soon.

Agnes Arbuthnot

Our stay was good, we would stay again. Friendly environment.

Campground Response

Thank you so much for your kind review! We loved having yall!
