The Austin Lone star Carefree RV Resort is located in the beautiful city of Austin and is a great place for an authentic southern vacation. Close to the campground, travelers can also enjoy activities such as golfing and outdoor swimming, but a lot of the fun lies just beyond the campground. Near the campground, travelers can expect a long list of excellent attractions. For the history buff, there's the Texas State Capitol, Mexic-Arte Museum, Blanton Museum of Art and the Texas Memorial Museum. Nature enthusiasts will fall in love with this city for its abundance of green spaces such as Zilker Park, Lady Bird Lake and swimming in the beautiful Barton Springs Pool. McKinney Falls State Park, the Zilker Botanical Gardens, Lake Travis and Mt. Bonnell are popular spots for locals and visitors alike to go hiking, boating, paddle boarding, canoeing and swimming. Known as "The Music Capital of the World," Austin is a lively city where campers can look forward to live music playing somewhere in the city each night of the week, a rich culinary and performing arts landscape as well as a thriving night life. There's something for everyone! This big rig and pet friendly RV park also includes WiFi, water, sewerage facilities, 30/50 amp service, cable TV, hot tub/heated pool, laundry and showers. Hope to see you soon!

The park is clean, trash pickup daily, pool, weight room, store with RV supplies, clean bathrooms and showers, paved streets, some paved site, some gravel, shrubs for privacy, cable tv and great WIFI. I will definitely stay here again. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group

The Roamans

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Austin Lone Star. Not only is it a beautiful park and extremely well-kept, it is also run by a very efficient staff. They are on top of things, let me tell you. From a prompt check-in, to a thorough check-out, we were very impressed. The facility itself it very clean. Most RV sites have shade, with trees, and a picnic table. One thing to note before you stay, is have $20 in cash available if you're looking to come and go as you please. They have a gate, which requires a key card, and you can only have a key card with the deposit. The laundry facilities are as you would expect. You can wash and dry a load for under $3. There is a TV in the facility as well, plus a dog park right out back, and a kid's park next door. The showers are very clean, and never packed. They each have their own stall area with a sink and toilet that locks. Water gets very hot, which was nice. Their main office/headquarters is also home to their mail, fitness facility, ping-pong table, and small convenience store. The fitness facility was under renovation when we stayed, which we were a bit bummed about. But, hopefully this just means better things down the road. You can buy your regular RV supplies in the store, as well as fill up on some fresh coffee. They pick up trash if you leave it out front in your site between 8am-10am. As far as location is concerned, you do hear some noise from I35. However, there are such limited RV parks close to downtown Austin, that you almost forget the noise altogether. It's a great park, well-maintained, in a wonderful location. Hopefully the next time we visit, they will have their pool open, as well as the gym renovation complete.
